Generate & share invitation link
Generate an invitation link with which new members can join the choir themselves. Ideal for trial singers and new interested people.
Diese Funktion ist nur im Web verfügbar.
What is this?
With the invitation link you invite new members to your choir without having to type their data yourself. The link leads to a join form that members fill in themselves — afterwards you only have to approve them.
This method is especially useful:
- For trial singers — you give the link after the rehearsal, the singer can register at home.
- In WhatsApp and Telegram groups — short link, multiple interested people can join.
- On your own website or social media — as a "Join the choir" button.
- For large campaigns like open rehearsals or member recruitment.
How to generate the link
- Open your choir and go to Members.
- Click "Generate invitation link" (usually in the three-dot menu or as a separate button).
- Choose settings: validity period, default voice (optional), default permission group (usually "Member"), automatic approval on or off.
- Copy the link and share it via messenger, email, QR code or on the website.
- Generate a new link when needed — old links remain valid or you actively revoke them.
What happens after the join
- The interested person opens the link and fills in the join form (name, email, possibly voice).
- Account is created if none exists yet.
- Join request appears in the "Approve new" list (when automatic approval is off).
- Choir director approves — the new member gets immediate access.
- With automatic approval: the member is immediately active without further confirmation.
QR code
When generating you also automatically get a QR code for download. Ideal for:
- Posters in the rehearsal room, parish center, school
- Flyers for concerts or open rehearsals
- Business cards of the choir director
Permission
You need the permission Create & edit members to generate and manage invitation links. By default the choir director and board have this permission.
Tips
- Keep the validity short when you only use the link for a specific campaign — for example 7 days for the open rehearsal. That way nobody slips in unnoticed afterwards.
- Keep approval manual — especially for publicly shared links this prevents bots or unknown people from joining uncontrolled.
- Set a default voice when your link only goes to a single voice section (e.g. recruiting tenors). Saves later rework.
- Generate a separate link per campaign — for example one for the website, one for WhatsApp. That way you know where joins come from.
