General pause: pay only when your old contract ends
Has your choir cancelled but the old contract is still running? With the general pause you start right away and only pay after the contract ends.

What is this?
If you cancel with another provider, you've usually paid months ahead there. For that time, your bill with Chorilo takes a General pause: you use everything right away, and you are charged only after the contract ends. After that, your Chorilo subscription simply continues as normal.
How it works
- In the sidebar, open Ensembles, choose your choir and then Choir settings > Subscription.
- In the General pause box, click Send documents.
- Enter your previous provider and the end of the contract.
- Upload the proof of your subscription (e.g. the latest invoice) and the cancellation confirmation.
- Click Send documents. We check the documents and get back to you by email.
- Once the general pause is activated, the subscription page shows General pause activated with the date.
- Now take out your subscription, monthly or yearly. At checkout it says "Free until …". The first payment only follows after the contract ends.
Good to know
- Your documents go to our team by email only. Chorilo doesn't store them.
- You take out the subscription now because the free period is part of it. Like any subscription, you can cancel it at the end of the term.
- The general pause applies to main choirs only. Sub-ensembles run under the subscription of their main choir.

Who gets the general pause?▾
Every choir that still has a running, paid subscription with another provider and has cancelled it. Your choir must not have a Chorilo subscription yet.
Which documents do I need?▾
Two documents: proof of the running subscription, such as the latest invoice or the contract, and the cancellation confirmation with the date the cancellation takes effect. One PDF or image up to 5 MB per document.
When do I pay for the first time?▾
On the day after the contract with your previous provider ends. You subscribe to Chorilo right away, but it costs nothing until the contract ends.
What happens if I don't subscribe?▾
Then the general pause doesn't apply. The choir can use Chorilo until the end of the normal trial period, after which changes are locked.
