Confirm or decline a request

What is this?

If your child or your parent starts a parent link, you have to confirm it. Only then is it active. If Lina enters her mother Petra, Petra confirms. If Petra enters her daughter Lina, Lina confirms.

Exception: if the choir director links from the member list, the link is active immediately. You both just receive a notification.

How to confirm

By email:

1. Open the email "… wants to link you as a guardian" or "… wants to add you as a managed person".
2. Click the link. It takes you to the sign-in page if you are not signed in.
3. Sign in with exactly the account the request is addressed to.
4. Confirm or decline.

In your profile:

1. Open your profile, section Parent link.
2. Under Pending requests you see who wants to link with you and in which role.
3. Confirm or decline.

What applies after confirming

• The link is active immediately in all choirs where you are both members. Your profile shows for each link in which choirs it applies.
• From now on the parent can confirm and decline events and vote for the child and sees everything the child sees in the shared choir.
• Both sides see the link in their own profile. In the member list, the child's row shows the note "Guardians: Petra Müller".
• Only the parent can remove the link later.

Declining

If you decline, everything stays as it was. The requesting person receives a notification; no reason is needed. They can ask again later.

Expired request

A request is valid for 14 days. After that the link no longer works and the request disappears from the pending requests. The requesting person simply starts it again.
