Delete item

What is this?

With Delete item you remove individual photos or videos from an album — duplicates, blurry shots or content where someone has asked for removal afterwards. The item is permanently removed and cannot be restored.

Other media in the album stays unchanged. If you want to delete the whole album, use "Delete album" instead.

How to delete an item

1. Open the "Media" area and click the desired album.
2. Click the item to open the detail view.
3. Pick "Delete item" in the context menu or via the three-dot button.
4. Confirm the safety prompt.
5. The item disappears immediately from the album.

Delete multiple items at once (web only)

1. Open the album.
2. Click "Select" at the top right.
3. Mark all items that should be deleted.
4. Click "Delete selection" and confirm.

When to delete media

• Privacy requests — when someone does not want to appear on a public recording
• Duplicate shots or variations where the best one is enough
• Blurry or poorly lit recordings that lower the album quality
• Wrong items in the wrong album by mistake

Permission

You need Create & edit albums & media to delete items. By default choir directors, the board and media administrators have this permission.

Tips

• Back up media beforehand if you might need it later — gone is gone.
• Check the selection carefully on bulk deletion before clicking "Delete".
• Respond to privacy requests quickly — a short reply to the requester builds trust.
